Client Testimonials

When I first met Coach Monroe as a young inexperienced 6th grader, I had no idea my athletic ability would change the way that it did. I was confused as to what sport I wanted to pursue, but I knew I wanted to be an extraordinary athlete. Coach Monroe also knew the potential I had and he did everything in his power to make me the most skilled athlete in different aspects of sports. I would attend Coach’s skills training every Saturday and Sunday consistently and faithfully. Even if it was just me and coach he made sure that I received the best training he could offer me. I immediately began to see results. I was the only 6th grader to make my basketball team, due to my footwork and defensive abilities. Over the years I continued to go to coach sometimes being the only girl at our workouts, he still demanded the best from me. He would put me against some of his best boys and because of my consistency with him I would outshine them. Whether it be in jump ropes, ladders, or hurdles he made sure I went against the best so that I could be the best. I soon began to see this carry over into high school, once I got more serious about basketball. I started to notice that my footwork and agility was impeccable compared to other girls I was playing against. Again I continued to work with coach, this time when my scheduled allowed, and he always was so excited to see me and get right back on track. In all honesty, after reflecting on my first year of college, winning Rookie of the Year in my conference and MVP of my team as a freshman I owe much of that success to Coach Wayne Monroe. If you think about it every basketball player has a trainer that trains them in basketball, but not many have a skills trainer that focuses on everything else important beginning with important fundamentals. I believe this advantage has helped me become who I am today. Not only has Coach Monroe physically made be better but mentally he has also changed me tremendously. After every workout he would sit and talk with us asking the trainees the highlight of our weeks and reflecting on the highs and the lows. He would constantly remind us that we were STUDENT athletes and school came first. His constant pressure and desire for us to succeed also allowed me to finish my first semester of college with a 3.5 GPA. Coach Monroe has always been there for me through thick and thin and his intentions are nothing but positive. He goes out of his way to make others happy with his knowledge and wisdom in so many different aspects of the sports and education world. I thank him so much for everything he has done and will continue to do in my life.

My name is Nesly Ovincy.  I was a wide receiver from John I. Leonard high school. I went on to play at McNeese State University and at the University of Texas at El Paso. Coach Monroe is here to make every single one of his athletes better, I have been training with Coach Monroe for years now and he was also my head football coach during my high school years. Coach Monroe helped me reached my goals and prepared me to compete at a higher level. I enjoy training with Coach Monroe because he pushed every single one of us hard at training to be the best that we can be on and off the field.
